MONSTER METRIC - Saturday, October 17, 2009 Hopkinsville, Kentucky The Rallying Point: We’re raising money for Challenge House—connecting resources in the community for the community in need, from job and skills training to mentors and more. The Rides: 60 and 30 Mile: These routes take you on a nice tour of the flat farmland with some low, rolling terrain. 10 and 20 mile family routes available. Day of Ride Information: 9 am start for both 30 and 60 mile rides; 9:30 for family rides. The start and finish is from Dots American Restaurant, 125 Turtle Creek (off the Eagle Way Bypass just west of 107). Directions on our website. Free parking . Route maps with exact mileage will be given out prior to the ride. The Food: Your fee includes well-marked routes and excellent SAG stops. Dots American Restaurant will have a Monster Metric Rider Special of the Day along with their regular menu if you want lunch. The Facts: Sag wagons will patrol all routes to provide transportation to rest stops and/or the finish area. Limited technical support will be available. Please bring your own emergency tools. All riders MUST wear a helmet—no exceptions! The Entry Point: Registration $20; 16 and under free ($15/adult for family ride) Day of Ride registration begins at 7:30AM—please use brochure form on site or on website. Nice ride, I didn't notice any wind, but the first half I drafted Bruce until he dropped me. Then I noticed it was windy. Beautiful weather last year, good cause....and of course I like the Hoptown bunch so thats a win win in my book. Lets ride.

It was a good ride!! I don't remember the wind, I was just trying to get some air in my lungs and keep my heart from exploding!!! To bad I will have to miss it this year. Darn it!!!
