Hello Fellow Cyclists!
Do you lack confidence climbing hills? Do you just want to get to the top? Would you like to climb them faster AND easier? We are having a 10-week seminar on hill climbing starting Monday February 28th. We will meet at 9:00am at the TOP of Burdette Park Hill. Please park at the top of the hill in the small parking area on the right just after cresting the hill. This seminar is free, open to everyone and is taught by Katie Winsett. Katie is a new EBC member who moved here from Arkansas , where she completed her PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Arkansas . Those of us who have been regulars in the Tuesday morning ride this winter have gotten to know Katie over the past few months. Katie raced bicycles while a student in college, and says she misses the hills in Arkansas . Have you ever heard such a crazy thing? She MISSES hills! All skill levels will be addressed in this seminar. Obviously, bring your bike and all your biking gear. There will be both classroom work and practical biking on the small (!) Burdette Park hill. You might want to bring a lawn chair for the classroom work. This is not an official Evansville Bicycle Club function and is open to anyone who wants to climb hills better. ALL SKILL LEVELS will be covered and Katie has graciously offered to donate her time. I will be there, as will many other EBC club members. We hope to see you this Monday morning, February 28th at Burdette!
