Putting my mom's bike bacl together this afternoon and all i had was the non-lock on type of grips.. I wouldnt have put them on but thats all i had. I have been having problems with the same grips on my mtb slipping, turning, and eventually coming off while riding. So while i was debating putting them on her bike i saw golf grip tape and solvent that i had used the week prior to regrip my clubs. I soon reasoned that since mtb grips and golf grips were both rubber and the shaft and handlebar were goth metal (or carbon fiber in this case) id give it a shot. So i enclosed the bar in tape, sprayed some solvent on it and inside the grip, slid it on and left it to dry.. sure enough when i checked it a couple hours later after it had firmed up i wasnt able to twist the grip. So for those who thought my golf was parasitic to my cycling.. shunnnnnnnn.
