Thanks to Congressman Earl Blumenauer from Oregon in his effort to get the Bicycle Commuter Tax Break in Uncle Sam's Bailout Plan. He has been trying to get it (H.R. 1498) approved over the last few years without much help from his fellow house members. Finally, he was able to get it approved by agreeing to vote yes on the the Bailout Plan. He commutes to work via bicycle almost everyday. Not sure what it will all mean to us but I think we will read alot about it in the next few months. Tax Credit for cycling gear/equipment could be really sweet!
