It would depend on the school of thought you belong to. Existentialists would say to just accept the dirt by coming into contact with it it has became apart of your existence and you have become apart of its. Psycho dynamics would say by washing of the dirt you are compensation for some dirty desire ( usually coming from your ID), and washing it off would not matter because the dirt is just a distraction preventing you from finding the true nature of why you don't feel clean. Behaviorist would say only wash the dirt off if it would be a motivator to ride better next time. Democrats would want you to leave on the dirt so they could charge an extra real estate tax. Republicans would want you to leave on the dirt because would be one less thing they have to deal with. Environmentalist would say wash off the the dirt but be sure it is triple bagged and properly contained as not to cause any negative impact on the environment.
